Hiking Tour- Urban Wilderness Hike

Brownes Addition to Downtown Via Peaceful Valley

  • 29.95 US dollars
  • Corner of Hemlock and 2nd Ave 99201 (entrance of Park)

Service Description

Hikes are done at a leisurely pace, nothing strenuous here! This tour will begin in the historic Browne's Addition Neighborhood where we discuss a bit about the neighborhood history, homes and architecture. At times we are granted access inside one of the most infamous mansions in Spokane. As we drop from Overlook Park into Hangman Valley we will identify some plants possibly edible and medicinal uses, discuss the history of this amazing place and the people who occupied it. We will then follow the creek to Peoples Park and the river confluence and discuss the importance of this place. We then follow the river into Peaceful Valley for history, architecture and more before ending in downtown. The tour is 4+ miles at a very relaxed pace. This tour does not loop back to the start so if you're not feeling like walking anymore we recommend Uber, Lyft or Lime scooters/bikes. Our hike ends at the corner of Riverside and Monroe where your guide can also recommend our favorite stops for a bite to eat or beverage, along with a parting gift! This experience is trail dependent and usually runs Spring-Fall
